Care Home staff in Mawdesley near Ormskirk 'braved the shave' recently.

Many now sport a new shaven hair style, with lots of kind donations given as a result.

Manager of Stocks Hall, Mawdesley Kristy Lunt, along with nurses, carers, the Wish activities team, kitchen staff, laundry and domestic staff, supported each other as their hair fell to the ground at the home's hair salon.

From 2cms, to over 30.48cms, their heads got lighter as each locket fell to the ground – cut by the staff members themselves.

The team's raised £800 to date for the home's residents fund.

Said Kristy: “I am so proud of the team. To agree to have your hair shaven is a brave act. It was a shared experience, which gave lots of unity, and has made the team even stronger. Well done to everybody. Thank you also to all who have so very generously donated and supported in any other ways. Thanks also to the people who ‘braved the shave’ with long hair and donated it to The Little Princess Trust.”
