A concerned Ormskirk lady believes a blind spot on the bend at the junction of Marian’s Drive and Heskin Lane could lead to a 'serious accident.'
And now Danielle Eccleston's calling on the county council to install traffic calming measures there, saying: “The blind spot on the bend could cause a serious RTA.
She added: “Lots of children walk and ride along Heskin Lane and I this request could be life saving.”
She's also calling on people to be respectful of the duck signage on the road, adding: “Living at the back of Hurlston brook which attracts a lot of wildlife sees ducks visit daily and feed at many houses in our street.
"The ducks and their ducklings nest across an extremely busy road. Ducklings are unable to fly, therefore they walk across the busy road numerous times per day.
"I have concerns for their safety as people travel at high speed around the bend.
“Last year I requested duck signage to be installed. These signs were erected by the council, however someone cut all of the signs down and removed them.
"We were able to put a few back on the lamp post, but some had been stolen and we're awaiting their replacements.
“To protect and preserve nature, I would like to raise people’s awareness and also request that people are respectful of the signs that Lancashire council have installed,” she concluded.
