There won't be any trouble brewing at a town centre pub which re-opens very soon.

Vanessa Mills and her team are hoping it'll mark start of a new era at the Queen's Head which was closed after licencing issues with the borough council and police earlier this year.

Hi Everyone! My name’s Vanessa and I am the new landlady at your favourite local pub!

A little about me: I was born and raised on the Wirral but L*O*V*E to travel so I didn’t stay put for long. Having worked in hospitality for over 10 years and after a lot of jet-setting I settled back home; right here in the UK. After recently co-running two pubs in Preston I am now excited to be fronting The Queens this July

Offering all your favourite drinks including cocktails & shots and a wide range of lagers with local ales on tap every week we aim to please; so if there’s a drink not on the menu then feel free to ask the bar staff and we will do our best to accommodate!

As far as entertainment goes we have a pool table and juke box ready to go! I am also researching some bands to front the weekend's schedule and get you geared up for a boogie and a beverage.

On top of this I know you can be big sports fans so I will have Sky Sports available for as many games as possible, big or small.

Ultimately, I want to run The Queens as a local and friendly pub as we build relationships and get to know all regular customers by name. All ages and walks of life are welcome here and we are dog-friendly too! You will be seeing my beloved Staffy, Paola around the pub a lot - she’s the best
