Sir,
Key workers, working in the near empty Ormskirk town centre fitting perspex safety screens at Bagel Deli on Moor St. were given a parking ticket by a traffic warden yesterday.
Are we not trying to make the town's shops safe so they can open?
Only a handful of shops are currently trading, while others are kitting up ready to re-open safely.
The same warden also booked a charity shop van, outside the charity shop; again, the charity shop staff were trying to prepare the shop for trade.
Onlookers were shocked at the warden's actions and vocally challenged him - I know we are living in difficult times but this is ridiculous!

You are not Key workers and If you are breaking the town centre traffic rules then you deserve to be booked.

the issue isnt that he is booked but the inconsistancy of it
none of the carparks are chargable at the moment , and there is hundreds of delivery drivers that break this rule every day for instance domino delivery drivers who regularly park in the town centre
plus taxis that drive up burscough street for a short cut
all of these drivers are working for buisnesses that are trading and making money
the others have been closed for 10 weeks and have suffered a big loss and will struggle to survive , surely under current circumstances there is a little bit of give and take
but yes you are right cars shouldnt be parked in the town centre between 10 am 4pm
but its not a good look on the council when a simple warning would of done the job
