Stickers questioning the wisdom of the unpopular Covid lockdown have started to appear in and around Ormskirk.

This one was pictured on a lamp post outside St James C of E (Westhead parish church) on Vicarage Lane; have you seen any, too?

Who said it's unpopular Roger? Just because you've seen a couple of pathetic posters from cranks in the local area?

With cases rising the way they are, do you really think the overwhelming view of the country at the moment is to get rid of all restrictions as the case figures show we're about to enter a third wave?

And besides, how can the current situation in any way be called a 'lockdown'? All the shops are open, pubs and restaurants can serve people indoors and out, you can watch live sport, and go on holiday anywhere in the country that you want. To in any way equate the current restrictions to those that were in place back in January or March / April last year is ridiculous.

I feel there is an underlying reason for the promotion of these anti-COVID measures, I’m assuming you agree with them and are therefore giving them a voice.

We are hardly in lockdown any way, everything essential is now open whilst there are clear measures to help try limit the spread, as after all we are still in the middle of a pandemic regardless what a few crack pots want to think.

Indeed - since Roger had his first jab (and made such a big deal out of it by posting a lengthy article on here about it), he seems to have really gone out of his way to promote the anti-vax / anti-lockdown agenda, posting photos of signs or graffiti like this, or the free publicity he kept giving to 'The Light' paper that was pedalling the same messages.

How about going and speaking to some real people in the town centre Roger to see how they feel about it. Oh, wait - that would require you to do some 'real' journalism wouldn't it, instead of just taking a photo of a poster that some idiot's stuck up.
