Bar 22 suffered their second loss in as many games, this time going down by the odd game in their local derby against the 22 Club.

This result in conjunction with other results means the Bar 22’s lead at the top of the table is now down to 7 points. 22 Club move to up to 3^rd on 67 points, some 8 points behind their local rivals.

The Bridge took full advantage of Bar 22’s defeat with a 5 (6) – 2 win away to La Cantina B, the Bridge sit in 2^nd place one point ahead of the 22 Club.

The Queen Inn also gained ground on the leaders with a fine 6 (7) – victory over the Railway, the result sees the ‘Inn’ move in to 4^th spot, but they are just a point behind the 22 club.

Stanley Club visited the inform Bridge Dogs, and came away winners by the odd frame. This takes them into 5^th spot but its all very tight at the top as they now sit on 65 points, just three points behind the 2^nd placed team.

I am disappointed to say at the time of writing that the result of the Queens Head v La Cantina A fixture has not been posted. So while the table shows the ‘A team’ to be 14 points adrift of the Stanley Club in 6^th spot they may be a little closer.

Shaw Hall continue in 7^th spot following a good 5 (6) – 2 victory over the Farmers. Shaw Hall and the Bridge Dogs both have 47 points.

There is a now a 3 week break from the league as we complete the final matches in the ‘Champions League’ stage of the cup.

Ryan Griffin still leads the way for player of the year, only league singles matches are qualifying matches for the player of the year award.
