A senior Lancashire police officer's praised how local pub and bar owners acted responsibly as lockdown was eased throughout the county on Monday.
ACC Peter Lawson was questioned about the aftermath of lockdown on the popular Graham Liver BBC morning show - but it wasn't all sweetness and light in Ormskirk town centre last night with police descending on Aughton Street just before 7pm and a young man placed in the back of a police car for questioning.
There is no suggestion that he had been drinking at No9 bar were everyone was in a relaxed and responsible mood.
There have been two successive 'happy hours' between lunchtime and evening time in Ormskirk town centre with no trouble reported - the acid test will be this weekend when there's traditionally an influx of drinkers from Skem and Maghull.

As well as this arrest, Bar No.9 have had music blaring out these past few days that you can hear from all round the town centre.
No consideration at all for other town centre users or nearby residents - I just hope the council or police put a stop to it.
