Two local charities had a grand afternoon on Saturday with donations of £1000 each.
Hurlston Hall's brilliant 25th anniversary bash saw hundreds of folk attend its free celebratory open afternoon with the icing on the cake donations to Woodlands hospice and Ormskirk Hospital special baby care unit; pictured are Mary Stanton and Steve Marr at the cheque presentation.
Said Antonia Maddocks from Hurlston Hall: "The afternoon was so successful that we're thinking of staging a regular community day every year from now on to benefit local charities."
Musical entertainment came from Ormskirk's Sound Affects and other local talent.
