Our thanks to QLocal reader Gill Glover who sent a few pics from her day out at Rufford Old Hall with husband Roger this morning.

The car park was full to capacity with visitors parking the length of Liverpool Road to enjoy the Hall in glorious weather.

Attractions included the annual Easter Egg hunt and the couple took a gentle stroll through the bluebells to the canalside walk and then back to the Hall to view its well kept gardens.

Although there were hundreds of people there from all over Lancashire and beyond the grounds are so spacious you never feel 'cramped', she said.

"A great morning out at one of the Borough's best attractions," she added.

"It was just a shame there wasn't an ice cream man there!"
