'Dear Roger,
As promised, please find attached a few photos taken of our local volunteers who once again did an excellent job yesterday morning, filling waste sacks with litter that had accumulated around Ormskirk town centre.
A significant number of sacks were filled in just over an hour.
Such a pity some people thoughtlessly litter the area. It is a growing problem across the borough that shows no sign of diminishing.
Regards, Cllr Kate Mitchell'
Which all leads to the big question: isn't this what we pay the borough council to do in the first place?

Wrong question! Nobody should have to clear it up, paid for or voluntarily! People need to have respect for both the community and the environment and not drop the rubbish in the first place!
Well done Kate for organising the clear up.
