Have you seen John James Jones from Aughton?

That's the poser from detectives who've issued this FB appeal in a bid to trace Jones following the serious assault on Southport Road, Ormskirk opposite The Civic in the early hours of 28 April: http://ormskirk.m.qlocal.co.uk/ormsk...k-55030268.htm.

The incident happened at around 02:45 hours and two men - one a 30 year old chef at a local bar - had to be taken to hospital to be treated for stab wounds.

Jones, 28, of Ennerdale Drive, Aughton is 6'1" and of heavy build; as well as Lancashire, he also has links to the Merseyside area.

Yresterday, DI Graeme Simpson of Lancashire Constabulary said: “We are appealing for anyone with information about Jones’ whereabouts to please come forward.

“If you see him, or know where he is, please contact police immediately.

“Likewise, if Jones himself sees this appeal, I would urge him to attend the nearest police station.”
