A popular Indian restaurant in Scarisbrick's giving a lesson to us all on how to look after the community in the current corona crisis.
The Nellie Indian restaurant and bar on Southport Road's virtually on lockdown; owner Sal's well known for his generosity - on Mothers Day 200 customers received a free takeaway - and now, he's offering to cook and deliver food to parents who can’t replace the free school meals their child would have received.
Via FB, he said: “There are parents out there who simply cannot afford to stockpile and may feel too ashamed to admit that providing extra meals for kids off school is a huge financial burden. For some children their free school meal is the most filling and nutritious of the day.“Together, as a community, we can all get over this pandemic. Please look after yourself and your family.”
*If your child was reliant on free school meals and you are now struggling call the restaurant on *01704 841222 or text 07494244495.
