A 5 (6) – 2 victory over the Bridge Dogs sees Bar 22 extend their lead at the top of the table to 8 points.

The Ormskirk outfit have won 39 of the 49 games they have played so far, and their nearest rivals The Bridge and the Queen Inn both won their ties, The Bridge defeated the Farmers 5 (6) – 2 at the old Dispensary while the ‘Inn’ won the odd game at the 22 Club.

La Cantina A were the other big winners recording a 5 (6) – 2 victory over their B team in a local derby.

The Stanley Club won the odd game in their match at Shaw Hall - it's disappointing that two results had not been recorded on http://poolleaguesuk.com/ by the deadline of Saturday, though one result was recorded at 00:04 on Sunday morning so that has been accepted! At the time of writing the result of the Railway’s home match against the Queens Head is not known.
