Big hearted pupils from Ormskirk St Bede's school raised £883 for Jospice, Thornton during a bag pack at Maghull's Morrisons.
Faith Barker, 13, from Maghull, came up with the idea of the fundraiser, organised in memory of her aunt, Dot Harrison.
Seven friends and two parents took part in the event, connected to the Faith in Action scheme being taught at the RC high school.
Faith's mum, Cheryl Barker, said: “The event was from 10am until 4pm and they did well to raise £883.
“We are so proud of Faith to come up with the idea of this fundraiser.
"It was good of her friends to help as well.”
