Latest news from the borough council:
'We are keen to support small businesses in Ormskirk town centre selling essential goods and services during the second nationwide coronavirus lockdown.
Parking charges will be suspended from Friday 6 November to Wednesday 2 December.
However, we would like to request that residents continue to park responsibly by parking within marked parking bays during this time.
Borough council leader, Councillor Ian Moran said: "Our independent traders and market traders have been particularly hit by lockdown restrictions. We want to support those local independent shops that are able to stay open and those that will be able to operate click and collect services during this lockdown."
During the lockdown period, the Council is urging people to follow government guidance and only make essential trips to the town centre.'
