Drivers were watching their speeds on the busy A59 near Lordsgate School on Wednesday afternoon.
And it wasn't just the potholes keeping their speed down - two PCSO's and a local PC were carrying out a community concern speed watch observing Preston bound traffic.
Errant drivers doing over 34 mph had their registration plates noted and will be written to with 'words of advice' from the force.

They should try this on Halsall Lane. In the school rush period. If these well intended guys tried it, they might even catch somebody who actually KEEPS to the speed limit. It's like the start of the Le Mans 24 hour race.
