Customers at Morrisons, Ormskirk were seeing red recently - in the best possible way!
They helped raise another brilliant amount for local Royal British Legion poppy collections: this from local organisers Bernie and Liz McInerney:
'Good morning Roger
Sorry it’s taken so long to let you know how much was raised at Morrisons, but I know you will appreciate how busy we have been collecting in all the Poppy boxes in from Ormskirk and surrounding area.
Between Saturday 26th October and Saturday 9th November the sum of £6,351.73 was raised at Morrisons, Ormskirk which was fantastic.
At the moment, we are in the process of collecting the Poppy boxes and counting the money, and once we know the total amount raised for the area, we will let you know.
For your information, once again Martin Jones has done a series of talks 'The Man Who Shod War Horses' and handed over a cheque for £400 (not part of Morrisons total).
The Royal British Legion thank him very much.'
