The funeral of well known Ormskirk man Gerard Swarbrick is taking place at St Anne's RC Church, Ormskirk tomorrow.
Gerard passed away peacefully on the morning of December 3rd, the day of St. Francis Xavier.
He was surrounded by his family, the same family who in November celebrated with him on his 90th birthday; he's pictured a few short weeks ago in a café-bar, smiling as he so often did throughout his long life...
Gerard was best known for his intricate maps of the west Lancashire area with many of his art works displayed in Dempsey's artisan cafe on Bursough St. where he was a popular visitor.
