The delightful Katie and Pip is being performed in Ormskirk tomorrow night following a hugely popular Edinburgh Fringe run in August last year.
Featuring brother and sister Rob and Katie as well as Rob's partner Charlotte, the playful (and very moving) performance celebrates the relationship between Katie, a Type 1 Diabetic teenager and Pip, her loveable pet border collie trained by Katie to save her life on a daily basis.
Adorable pooch Pip detects when Katie’s blood sugar levels are either too high or too low by sense of smell; journeying through the extreme highs and lows of their lives,Katie and Pip embraces the unpredictability of flailing blood sugar levels and dangerous symptoms with the aim of staying alive; staying in the smiley zone.
It's a true story which began in Scotland; this performance celebrates freedom and living life to the full, with help from a live dog and the aim of making an invisible disability visible.
