A visitor from Manchester who drove over to see her mum in Ormskirk had an 'electric shock' when she returned to her electric Hyundai.
She parked up at the Hants Lane car park to charge it, knowing that she needed over three hours on a slow charge to replenish its batteries.
Returning to find a ticket, she wondered if the borough council is up to speed about EV charging and whether there should be some leeway for owners who want to ensure they have enough power to return home...
