A group of Edge Hill University students studying film and television production and production management were in Ormskirk this week on a fascinating project.

They were working with production company Inspiral.IO over the summer as part of a research based project that’s meant to enrich the student experience.

Inspiral.IO was commissioned by World Basic Income (http://www.worldbasicincome.org.uk/) to make a series of documentaries explaining its work.

Its main goal is to give $10 a month unconditionally regardless of age, gender, location or income; although this might not seem like a lot of money to you and I, for people living in extreme poverty it means a great deal...

They interviewed locals to find out what they’d do if they were given $10 a month; the responses were brilliant and they got a lot of good footage that hopefully should help with the making of the documentaries; during the day everyone they spoke to was very positive and friendly, and very interested in what World Basic Income is about.
