One of the most important planning applications in the history of West Lancashire is looming - and Aughton parish councillors are now better informed about one side of the fracking argument following their September meeting.
John Wilkinson and Moira O'Mahoney attended the meeting to give a 20 minute presentation on the impact of Aurora's plans on parts of the Borough in what's known as PEDL.164.
They both represented The Moss Alliance and said the group's readied a full fact file of objections to be made public once Aurora's controversial planning application to drill on Altcar Moss is made.
Meanwhile, the latest edition of the excellent West Lancashire Courier leads on 'Fracking worries for West Lancashire' with advice for anyone who is concerned about the impact of fracking locally to visit the Halsall against fracking website and the FB site for frack free Burscough.
