News on the sad death of well known Yew Tree Road resident Maurice George, a good friend of QLocal Ormskirk and well known for his community activism including regular letters to The Champion and Advertiser.

He was also a leading member of a local computer club and was in his element talking to groups about the subject; our picture shows him at Aughton and Ormskirk U3A four years ago addressing members.

I have to pass on to you the very sad news of the passing away on Sunday 10th of Maurice, my lifelong partner and husband since 2016.

His funeral will take place on Wednesday 27th of January at 10.00am at the West lancs Crematotium L40 7SP; with capacity for no more than 30; please confirm with me to help tally numbers.
