Report: Mark Armitage Photos : Britain's Got Talent
Viewers of 'Britain’s Got Talent: Unseen' watched an amazing performance from the National Choir of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets at their audition held at the London Palladium earlier this year.
The Choir - formed in 2016 - is led by Director of Music, Squadron Leader Dave Massam RAFAC of Scarisbrick, a former member of Merseyside Wing. It includes Cadets from squadrons across the NW and UK who performed energetic versions of several hits by Queen including 'We Will Rock You', 'Radio Ga Ga' and 'Fat Bottomed Girls' to the delight of the audience.
Although singing is not included as one of the core activities within the RAF Air Cadets, it's found a home there, helping Cadets develop skills the organisation strives to embed in its members, including teamwork, communication, commitment, confidence, resilience and responsibility; this performance showed the folk just what they as Air Cadets could do.
The audition met with a huge applause from the audience and with four Yes votes from the Judges and some very positive comments from across the panel, leaving all the Cadets feeling like they were indeed the 'Champions of the world'!

The RAF Air Cadets is open to all young people ages 12 (Year 8) to 18 and offers the opportunity to experience flying, gliding, target shooting, leadership, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, visits and camps to active RAF Stations across Europe and much more.
