There's been justice at last for three staff at a popular Ormskirk craft bakers after a sophisticated holiday scam unravelled at a Manchester court.
Roger Coulson, a former area manager for Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery, used some 'craft' of his own to defraud the three of thousands of pounds with a fake holiday scam.
And earlier this month after he was found guilty of making 'false representation to make gain for self or another' at Minshull St. court he was given 200 hours community service and ordered to pay the three staff - who've asked not to be named - £1704, £2920 and £2518 respectively. He must also pay £500 towards prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £85.
Coulson, from Rochdale, Lancs. was an area manager with the firm and has since been dismissed. Greenhalgh's declined to comment on the case when approached by QLocal reporter Roger Blaxall, who was originally tipped off about the case over a year ago.
