St. Michael’s Church, Aughton held its first Lantern and Lights Parade on Friday evening.
Many people entered into the fun and either brought their own lanterns which accompanied those made by some members of the congregation; the lantern snowmen were particularly at home in the frosty night air as the procession left St. Michael’s Church and paraded onto Church Lane!
After the parade, St. Michael’s Church Hall was the venue for hot food and for browsing Christmas stalls.
Pam, one of the organisers, told QLocal:"We were absolutely thrilled by the large number of adults and families who turned out to support our parade and we would like to offer our very grateful thanks.
"It was a fantastic community event and a wonderful prelude to the Church Christmas celebrations."
