Lathom Park Trust's delighted to announce the appointment of a new chairman.

Paul Sherman has accepted the nomination and the trustees have offered him their 100% support along with renewed commitment to further the Trust's work.

Paul's been a trustee for a few years, bringing a wealth of local history and heritage experience to the position.

His passion for all things Lathom and the Viking age is well known; he's also a director of the community interest companies NW Heritage and Lancashire Heritage as well as the commercial organisation, PHC Services.

He hopes that future projects including collaboration between the Trust and other heritage organisations will help to increase the Trust's profile and community engagement.

Chairman Emeritus Paul Kenyon offered him sincere congratulations, telling QLocal: "I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Paul on his appointment as chairman.

"I think he will make be a first class chairman, who will now be able to help take the Trust forward over the coming years."

Trust member and ex-trustee Dr Paula Keating added her[COLOR=var(--themeDark)]congratulations[/COLOR]to Paul on the appointment along with many other Trust members and followers on social media.

Curent research projects being carried out are mainly desk based but the Trust is looking forward to future practical projects to further the story of historic Lathom.
