Is it or isn't it?
Live that is....
A report in the former Lancashire Evening Post a few years ago revealed that at any one time, some 80 per cent of the county's safety cameras were not working - but there as a deterrent.
Has anyone been bold enough to test this new one on the outskirts of the village which was installed a few weeks ago?
*Spotted on the Monday before Christmas - two operatives changing the film in the safety camera near Scarisbrick water works.

Excellent! Burscough village is a built up area, with loads of pedestrians & quite complex junctions. With a vast blind spot caused by the bridge, this is needed. I'm sure it will catch loads of drivers out after the 50mph(?) cruise from Tarleton. All of whom will winge that it is a money making scheme for the council. GOOD. These persons will all doubtless claim to be good drivers. Wrong. If you get caught speeding this means you are a BAD driver, lacking in the observational skills to avoid such things. Worse still, you lack the honesty to face up to your own shortcomings as a driver. Got a speeding ticket? Face facts. You're not a good driver.
