The Railway, one of Ormskirk's favourite pubs, has been closed for the last fortnight following news that Heineken wanted to raise the rent by 20 per cent.

It was a bitter blow for mine hosts Russell and Jane who've decided to move on after it re-opened in December 2017; it's thought two business partners from Liverpool are looking to take it over.

If it was one of Ormskirk favourite pubs it wouldn't be shut.
