After their defeat last week, last year's champions, Bar 22, got back to winning ways with a 6 (7) – 1 victory over the newcomers Pinewood, and now sit in 5th place at this early stage with 9 points.
But it's La Cantina A making the early running - they now sit at the top of the table after this second week of league fixtures. The ‘gang’ from La Cantina recorded their second 6(7) – 1 victory, this time beating one of last week's pacesetters, The Bridge Dogs. La Cantina A have 14 points from their two games.
In second place, just one point adrift, we find last year's runners up, the Bridge, who beat the Railway by the same margin.
The Stanley Club, last season's third placed team sit in a similar position after the first two matches of this season. This particular week saw them beat the other newcomers, The Eureka, 6(7) -1. They have 12 points.
Just one point behind are the Queen Inn who recorded their second win of the season after beating Shaw Hall Caravan Park by the odd game.
Despite losing by the odd game to the Farmers, Whittakers share 5th spot with Bar 22.
In the final match, La Cantina beat Shaw Hall by the odd frame.
