Ormskirk put on a great display on Sunday as thousands of folk visited the town for the second of its 'new look' Christmas lights switch on.

The town was heaving by noon with many commenting that devoting a whole Sunday to the event was far better than the traditional Friday night.

Police were much in evidence - not that there was any trouble thanks to a great family atmosphere with visitors enjoying a great variety of attractions.
