Police are investigating a stabbing at a popular fishery in Burscough where a man allegedly attacked his stepson.
The accused has been named locally as Steven Moreton with a Ben Moreton attacked.
This afternoon, a police PR officer told QLocal: "Officers were called to a report of an assault on Warpers Moss Lane in Burscough at 11.20pm on 31 July.
"We attended and found a man in his 20s with stab wounds. A 61-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.
"He has since been released under investigation."
The scene of the attack, Lathom Fisheries, was open for business as usual this afternoon.
