Booths at Burscough had a VIP shopper yesterday!

Extraordinary 73-year-old Rosie Swale-Pope MBE is currently on what she calls her 'little' run from Land’s End to John o’ Groats, pulling her wheeled pod with cooking and sleeping equipment inside.

The super fit pensioner is the only person to have undertaken an epic solo, unsupported run around the world, and was seen yesterday as she ran from Liverpool to Preston on the A59. After a break in the lay by on High Lane she stopped a few more minutes to litter pick before heading for Booths.

Rosie has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity; The Times described her as being 'like a cross between Jilly Cooper & Sir Ranulph Fiennes.'

She’s even sailed solo across the Atlantic - and after buying her milk in Booths Rosie brewed up in the car park before heading north.
