For those who use it every day, the Booths cafe is more than a cafe - it's more like a small family gathering.
Staff and customers are all on first name terms so you can imagine how sad many users were yesterday after the supermarket decided to close every one of its cafes in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak; it's not known when they'll re-open and if café staff (two pictured) will be re-deployed in store.
Booths customers - being Booths customers - are not given to shouting and bawling over stock shortages like in some stores; meanwhile one lady shopper was pictured outside in a mask yesterday morning, still a rarity in west Lancs.
