Many have been wondering why the Toby carvery at The Fiveways hasn't reopened yet despite the easing of lockdown locally.
Apparently it's one of two underperforming carveries owned by Mitchell and Butler whose future is under review... sounds ominous doesn't it?
Here's a statement form the brewery's PR office: 'The decision on which of our pubs, bars and restaurants we’re reopening has been made on a site by site basis, taking into account various factors including business layout and expected footfall.
'After reviewing these factors the decision was made not to immediately reopen Toby Carvery Ormskirk.
'We’d like to assure guests and locals that this outcome remains under review and a final decision on when it will reopen will be made in due course.
'We’d like to thank our guests and our team members for their patience and understanding.'
