Great news for people of good taste - West Lancashire will see yet another Michelin-starred chef opening a restaurant in Aughton.
Chef Tim Allen gained Michelin stars as a Head Chef at numerous ventures including London’s Launceston Place, the Wild Rabbit in Kingham and most recently The Flitch of Bacon in Essex.
However, until now, he's never owned his own restaurant, which is all about to change when he opens the former Town Green Wine Bar as his very own restaurant, So-lo, this summer.
The venue, not far from Michelin 2* Moor Hall its sister restaurant The Barn, is expected to seat up to 80 people in a mixture of indoor and outdoor tables, and serve relaxed modern British cuisine with an international influence.
Tim won out for his new venture against Nellies of Scarisbrick who were also interested in the building that's now being renovated and has had a new roof over the last few weeks.
And the good news continues for Aughton with Peaky Blinders opening a new bar soon, too, on Town Green Lane opposite the Co-op.
