Following the recent news that Baybutt’s of Burscough have ended their road transport operations - covered exclusively on QLocal Ormskirk - the Burscough Heritage group have organized an evening of nostalgia and interest about the firm that was established back in 1932.
On Monday 21st January, David L Rimmer will lead with a presentation about the firm's lorries over the years and the group are inviting everyone who has pictures or memories of the trucking firm they would like to share to come along for a 'show and tell' evening.David was lead mechanic at another local transport firm, Harry Hague’s, for four and a half years in the 1960s-70’s, and has amassed a great collection of images and stories about the local road transport companies.
The talk will be held at The Blue Mallard Restaurant at Burscough Wharf, Burscough in West Lancashire commencing at 7.30 pm with entrance being by a £2 donation.
