Picture this - a bucolic scene on Churchfields playing fields where a small number of travellers have pitched up for the night - or so they say - in a move that's not gone down too well with some locals...
A group of them called for fish and chips in the town centre saying they were only visiting Ormskirk for a 'one night stand'.
One lady on Yew Tree Road said they had been spotted helping themselves to water from a local's garden tap while a QLocal reader texted reporter Roger Blaxall with his pithy comment: 'Just what the locals need, stopping us using our facilities during this period in time, hopefully they will be moved on quickly'.
There were no reports of any trouble this evening - let's see what tomorrow brings and if the travellers are true to their word.
