Ormskirk parish church's traditional Christmas tree was lit up last Sunday - thanks again to a little help from its friends!
Generous sponsors including businesses from the busy Malthouse Business Centre dug deep for the tree and its lighting in a campaign organised in part by Our West Lancashire.
This from its FB page: 'As with 2017 and 2018, the Community Christmas Tree and much loved nativity scene will be lit up outside Ormskirk Parish Church this year.
This has been made possible by residents donating their change year round, generous donations from local businesses (with a special mention to Malthouse Business Centre) plus significant contributions from both New Ormskirk Residents Group and the Ormskirk Christian Fellowship.
Allied with practical assistance from the Church and WLBC, alongside a peppering of co-ordination from Our West Lancashire, it is now the third year in a row that the local community has organised and funded this tree - a genuine community effort for a lovely Community Christmas Tree; well done everyone!'
