Burscough's popular Stanley Club was buzzing this weekend as over 600 visitors celebrated local history and heritage.
Mayor Noel Delaney assisted by Stuart and Lynne Gray did the honours - and now organiser Michael Dawson's thanked everyone who helped make the event such a success.
He told QLocal yesterday: "After another great exhibition weekend, I would just like to say a big thank you to all of the following: Ormskirk & District Family History Society (Kate Hurst, Pam Richardson, Andrew Scarisbrick), Lathom & Burscough Military History Society (Richard Houghton), Paul Smith, Ormskirk Museum, NW Heritage (Paul Sherman) and Alan James Barrow with his airmen of West Lancashire Roll of Honour WW2.
"And behind the scenes I would be lost without the help of many people around me, Lawrence Critchley, Debra Baldwin, Christopher Ryley, Alan Birch, Margaret Birch, Susan Parker, Mildred Ashcroft and everybody that donated prizes for the raffle.
"You all make the exhibition what it is, so thank you for your constant support.
"And mostly, I'd like to thank all the people who visited the exhibition over the weekend, and to all the people who brought photos for me to copy."
Mary Ormsby submitted an incredibly rare photo of St Mary's Church (left) and the newly built St Elizabeth's Church, Hall Road, Scarisbrick, 1888-1889 - soon after this photo was taken, St Mary's Church was demolished.
