This is the tangled mess left behind following a dramatic 2am smash on Prescot Road, Aughton in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A lady lost control of her FIAT Punto and destroyed the safety railings in the 30 mph stretch of road near its junction with Town Green Lane; at last night's Aughton PC meeting, members pressed for immediate repairs to the railings by the County Council.

good luck with that the railings at the cricketers have been out for 8 weeks with no sign of repair other than orange barriers
but i note the pot hole was soon fixed afrer an accident a few weeks ago
