It's finally open - but with little fanfare.
This is the latest addition to pedestrian safety in Ormskirk - a new look foot and cycle path linking the railway station and bus station that's been five months in the making.
Contractors have made a good job of it too - shame about the lack of litter bins though...
Ormskirk Labour councillor and ex mayor Noel Delaney is very happy with the completed path, saying: 'Glad to see the new path from the railway station to the bus station has being completed.
'It has taken many years of lobbying/letters/phone calls by me to get it done.
'I hope they put some rubbish bins along so I can put my brush and shovel away. Must say it looks fantastic.'
WLBC statement: 'Work to turn the path between Ormskirk bus and railway stations into a joint cycle and footway have been completed.
'It's been significantly widened as part of the works which began in January to help with social distancing.'
