Burscough's amazing Fun Arena, Lancashire's largest giant inflatables and soft play centre, welcomed friends and family to its 'soft' opening on Saturday.

Described as one of the largest of its kind in the UK, the Dakota Park venue's due to open next Saturday, 10 July.

Catering for kids and adults alike, it boasts a 10,000 sq. ft. inflatable bouncy castle and soft play arena as well as the ‘Sky Fort’ - a climbing frame featuring a maze, ladders, slides and host of unexpected obstacles.

The family-run business also features The Hangar Cafe, restaurant and bar, serving homemade cakes and snacks with a comprehensive menu.

Reflecting Burscough’s heritage, it has an air force theme throughout and includes Toddler Land - a smaller soft play area for younger children. There's also ‘The Captain’s Imaginarium’ - a video and games room and party rooms for hire.

Jeff Wilkinson, co-founder said: "We're thrilled to be opening our doors this weekend!

"It's certainly been a journey since we first imagined the idea back in 2019. Fun Arena plugs a significant gap in the market and provides a fully immersive experience that's designed to keep people engaged from the moment they enter and we can’t wait to demonstrate the grand scale of the arena.”

The attraction will cater to group bookings and is described as ‘the ideal destination for children’s parties, school and college trips’, as well as university events and corporate or exclusive venue hires.

Georgina Wilkinson, co-founder, added: “The whole team are hugely proud of our creation which is the result of a solid team effort from all the family.

“There really is something for everybody from young children to students and young families and it provides the ideal destination for an action-packed day out.”

The team behind Fun Arena has worked with a range of local businesses to help bring the venue to life including Essential Studio - a Liverpool based content marketing and design agency - and DPI signage.
