Contractors have been spotted at the former Halfords and the old Poundworld over the last few days removing fascia boards.

One local rumour is that both units will be knocked into one for a new Sports Direct outlet.

I've heard a rumour too that QLocal might actually post something newsworthy on here, instead of the same old mindless dross like some graffiti being spotted on a bridge in Burscough, blocked highway drains, reprinted local election leaflets, and cars getting parking tickets.

Alas I fear though it's probably fake news...
