Our thanks to reader Gill Glover of Ormskirk who followed a lady round Lidl on Thursday who she said was 'looking for trouble'.
Dressed all in black, and insistent on not wearing a mask, her hoodie sported an anti vax message which was clearly upsetting a number of shoppers.
Said Gill: "When she got to the checkout she donned a pair of dark glasses as though she didn't want to be identified.
"I felt sorry for the staff who were put in an embarrassing position."
Lidl staff actively engage with suspected shoplifters to ensure they are barred from the shop but are evidently powerless to insist on shoppers wearing masks.
QLocal's Ormskirk reporter Roger Blaxall's approached the Lidl PR office for guidance on what staff can and can't do - and a comment on this particular case which will have been caught on the store's CCTV system.
