Is it little wonder that LCC has such a low reputation in Ormskirk - look at how it treats the town centre!
Let's see how long it takes for some real repairs to be made to the patchwork of repairs which have been building up over the last year or so...
The last one followed repairs by Electricity NW outside Dorothy Perkins ten days ago; here's the official comment from the LCC PR office with PR officer Mike Warren telling QLocal's Roger Blaxall: "The utility company has made this temporary repair after responding to an emergency problem with their equipment.
"It is normal practice for companies to make pavements safe in this way as a temporary measure, before contacting us to restore the high quality paving.
"All costs will be met by the utility company."

LCC is responsible for road works however these road words are require because of planning permission given to the developer by WLBC planners. Surely they could have made it a part of the planning permission that the developer must repair any damage to town centre roads or pathway and put back to as found. I would point out that the developer nor the students that this accommodation is designed for pay any local council tax so once again ordinary council tax payers have been mugged off. Time for these landlords to have to pay there fare share!
