Jungle drums were beating yesterday in Bickerstaffe after police were spotted in woods off Intake Lane.
They only arrived at 9am and by ten o'clock QLocal's Roger Blaxall had been called by regular reader M. with the story.
No panic though: Merseyside Police were in the woods belonging to Lord Derby's estate on a training exercise.

Have Merseyside not got enough dead wood of their own without having to do it in Lancashire?
