The nephews of WWE legend Tommy Billington aka The Dynamite Kid will compete for This Is Wrestling on Sunday.

Billington - a WWE tag team champion in The British Bulldogs with his cousin Davey Boy Smith - died in December, aged 60.

Now his nephews Mark and Thomas Billington are following in the footsteps of the influential grappler from Golborne, Lancashire, with the second-generation tag-team part of a landmark show for Wigan-based promoters 'This Is Wrestling' at Ormskirk Civic Hall on Sunday afternoon.

And the young duo - who have been training at World of Sport great Marty Jones' Squared Circle Academy' - will face an equally talented Scouse pairing.

This is Wrestling’s co-founder Kristian Bennett said: "If you're a wrestling fan, you'll recognise that name. It's a huge legacy to live up to but these lads will be more than determined to show why they are up to the challenge.

"They're facing the Merseyside Murder Squad - Dan Evans and Scott Oberman - who are extremely dangerous but talented wrestlers.

"This easily could be the match of the night; all four men are hugely talented with bright futures ahead of them."

The show, titled The Future Is Now, will see This Is Wrestling crown its first champion in a scramble match featuring five performers.Two wrestlers will start the bout with a new rival joining the match at regular intervals until the ring is full of all five competitors.Each time they score a pinfall or submission they will be the interim champion until the final bells sounds and the winner is confirmed.

Four contestants have been confirmed - Ethan Allen, Pitbull, Soner Dursun and Phillip Michael - but one spot remains up for grabs.It will be determined in a 'Last Chance Battle Royal' earlier in the night, with the winner progressing to the evening's main event.
