There were more old folk than ever out and about on Ormskirk market today - sadly.
And a number of younger locals have been quick to criticise their selfish actions; one, after hearing how shoppers have been fighting over items of 'essential' shopping said that pensioners won't be happy once they realise they could be fighting for an intensive care bed...

So able bodied strip the shelves bare in the supermarket. What are
we supposed to do! No Fruit, no Bread, so I went shopping today Sun at the prescribed time allocated for the over 70s
I’m 76 at risk so doing whatever I can to protect myself, We have to eat! Went to my local small national mini mark at the prescribed time as stated on Their own website for me to shop. Not a sign on the window, shop was full of shoppers many with kids, no separation at the till, had to tell people to step back who looked at me as though I was mad.
Asked the poor girl on the till when the card swipe was last disinfected and she candidly told me it hadn’t.
So many selfish people who simply refuse to have a care for anybody other than themselves.
Give us the space to survive and stop being so BLOODY selfish, if we can not get our needs, we have to use the market! It’s not the oldies who are in the wrong, we do not contaminate anybody.
Respect the set time for vulnerable and over seventies to get out food and medications. STOP and think.

While for once I actually agree with the majority of what you are spouting - you cant honestly be serious when you say "we do not contaminate anybody".

The selfish ones are the ones who shouldn't be there, if the time slot is allocated to the elderly and infirm the others who turn up are the ones infecting themselves and others.
